Junior Professorship in ‘Accounting’

The School of Business and Economics invites applications for a Junior Professorship in ‘Accounting’ starting on October 1, 2018.

The research and teaching interests of applicants should focus on quantitative economics-based accounting research. This includes, amongst others, the areas of management accounting, financial accounting, auditing as well as accounting and information systems.

The School of Business and Economics offers a rich infrastructure for quantitative research and strong ties to other research institutions in Berlin. We place great importance on excellent research published in top academic journals. Applicants are expected to at least have the potential for such publications. We also assume that applicants are willing to raise competitive third party funding and participate in proposals for such funding at the school level. Moreover, we expect a strong commitment to teaching. Teaching obligations can be fulfilled in English or German.

The applicants must meet the legal requirements for professorial appointments in accordance with § 102 a of the `Berliner Hochschulgesetz´. The candidate is expected to possess the ability to perform research at the highest international standards. In order to assess these abilities, the search committee requests a concise research statement in which the candidate presents future goals in research.
